Senior researcher at Barcelona Media - Center of Innovation (group: Speech and Language), from January 2004 to October 2013.

Researcher in the Natural Language Processing group (NLP) at Microsoft Research (Seattle, USA) from December 1999 to December 2002. I designed and implemented the Generation grammar for Spanish, which is part of the Microsoft Machine Translation system. My PhD thesis is based on this work.

Computational linguist in the Natural Language Group (NLG) at Microsoft Corporation (Seattle, USA), from October 1998 to December 1999. I wrote the specifications and developed the Spanish Grammar Checker used by MS Office.

Computational linguist at the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC, Barcelona), from February 1997 to August 1998. I designed the lexical specifications for a Computational Lexicon for Catalan, containing morphological, syntactic and semantic information. I coordinated the syntactic encoding of the Catalan dictionary, in the framework of the UE project PAROLE (LE2-4017) and designed the specifications of the semantic encoding in the framework of the UE project LE-SIMPLE (LE4-8346).

EAGLES member (Expert Advisory Group on Language Engeneering Standards), CEE, DG-XIII. I participated in the Working Group on Computational Lexicons, from July 1995 to August 1998 with the aim of setting up standards for the syntactic and semantic encoding of the European languages.
